This project is in the heart of the Irvington neighborhood in Portland. The desire for the project was to maintain much of the existing kitchen and add a large sunlit room for more counter top space, storage, and a built-in dining area. Being a historic district, Irvington has restrictions on the design for alterations to the exterior of the structure which Kris achieved with his permit drawings. Kris also met all the goals of the client and the Clarkbuilt shop matched all the existing cabinet elements perfectly while adding new floating shelving and expanding the island.
