It is unfortunate when we get the call from a client having trouble with another contractor. It is even more unfortunate when this happens to be an insurance job and the client is without many options. This 1890 Victorian in NW Portland had a washing machine fail on the 3rd floor apartment flooding the lower 3 levels, basement included. The client was displaced from the house for the remediation and for months nothing came about from the contractor assigned by the insurance company. We received a call from the client to see if we were available to look at the project and we were over the next day. In a timely fashion we had budgeting put together and approval from the insurance to start the remodel. This ended up being close to a whole house remodel with upgrades to existing systems that were exposed at remediation and demo. Finishes were selected by the client with personal and tasteful touches to compliment the history of the house.
